ME&F Holdings Completes Strategic Investment in Sports Performance Hub

Manama, Bahrain/Florida, United States of America – ME&F Investment Holdings Ltd has completed a strategic investment in Sports Performance Hub (“SPH”), the Miami-based mixed-use development planned for Homestead, Florida. The investment supports Phase 1 of a transformational sports, education and mixed-use destination in Homestead, Florida. It underscores ME&F’s commitment to backing distinctive international opportunities with long-term value creation potential.

Planned as a more than 90-acre destination, SPH is designed to bring together elite sports, education, entertainment and real estate within a single integrated campus in South Florida. The project will feature a 10,000-seat stadium, a 150-room hotel, elite training facilities, a sports medical centre, education and wellness components, entertainment venues, and residential and commercial real estate.

Backed by global sports executives, SPH is expected to generate approximately 4,300 construction jobs and more than six hundred permanent positions, while supporting tourism, community programming and broader economic activity in Homestead and throughout South Florida. The project continues to receive support from local civic leadership and public-sector stakeholders focused on responsible regional growth.

The investment was led by CEO Faris Al Kooheji, a Bahrain-based global sports executive with experience across investment, sports infrastructure, hospitality and institutional development in the Middle East. Mr. Al Kooheji serves as Secretary General of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, a member of the Executive Board of the Olympic Council of Asia and Chair of its Media Committee, and a member of the Advisory Board to the President of World Aquatics.

“ME&F seeks opportunities that combine strategic relevance, international reach and enduring impact,” said Faris Al Kooheji. “Sports Performance Hub represents a rare platform with the scale and ambition to create value well beyond sport. We are pleased to support its next phase of development and to align with a project that can contribute meaningfully to the future of South Florida.”

SPH is led by CEO and Co-Founder Nick Sakiewicz, a veteran sports executive and entrepreneur with experience across professional soccer, stadium development and sports business operations in North America.

“We are delighted to welcome ME&F and Faris Al Kooheji as strategic partners in SPH,” said Nick Sakiewicz. “Their involvement strengthens the platform we are building and reflects the global confidence behind this project. ME&F brings a rare combination of international perspective, strategic insight and relationship depth that will be highly valuable as we advance SPH to the next stage.”

SPH Co-Founder and Board Member Gaston Remy also played a key role in shaping the project’s long-term vision, partnerships and strategic growth. “Transformational projects are ultimately built by people who share a common belief in what is possible,” said Gaston Remy. “From the beginning, it was clear that ME&F shared both our ambition for SPH and our conviction that it can create meaningful impact across sports, business and community development. Their decision to invest is a strong endorsement of the platform we are building.”

The investment round was advised and closed by 54, SPH’s exclusive strategic sports, media and entertainment adviser. Further announcements about Phase 1 timelines, strategic partnerships and development components are expected in the coming months.
